BIO

Francesco is a Palermo based illustrator.
He likes to draw at night, looking for something halfway between what is graphical and what is pictorial.
He is deeply curious about nature.
As a professional, he has always been a freelancer, receiving commissions from newspapers, magazines, record labels, festivals and associations.
He also runs an online shop where he sells his prints and original works.

WORK METHOD

The world, as Francesco sees it, is a chaotic place, impossible to plan or fully synthesize as it is.
For this reason, he built himself an interpreter: a set where three‑dimensional compositions of plasticine and thermoplastic suggest a subject, shaped by adjustable lighting, allowing him to draw without overthinking the idea.

During the sketch phase, he experiments with elements and framing, sometimes using rough sketches as preliminary studies to explore different versions.
Finally, the work moves back and forth between paper and computer, gradually taking on color and form.
